Golden Milk Latte Recipe
My favorite Golden Milk Latte recipe is one by @theconnsciousplate, a blogger I follow on IG. I've made it countless times because it is so comforting. I will typically make it in the morning because I can't kick the habit of drinking something warm in the morning but a lot of people will drink it at night because they find that it helps them to wind down and provide them with better sleep. If you struggle with chronic inflammation and pain like me or are looking for better recovery from workouts, consider adding a daily dose of turmeric and you may also reap some of the benefits from this beneficial spice!
Golden Milk Latte Recipe:
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1/4 tsp turmeric
- 1/4 tsp ginger
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- crack of black pepper
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp sweetener of choice (I will either use honey or coconut palm sugar)
Place all ingredients in a saucepan on low heat. Allow to steam but don't bring to a boil and let simmer while stirring occasionally for about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and strain into a mug and enjoy.
